Marcus Gibson: Gibson Index
Marcus is a specialist writer and researcher, focusing
on high potential small technology companies. In 2003 he started
the Gibson Index, a database of 27,700 UK-based technology SMEs,
as well as a monthly eNewsletter and Events Diary.
The database is used by firms such as QinetiQ, P&G
and Rolls-Royce to locate small companies for collaborative purposes.
Prior to this he wrote for The Financial Times, Daily Telegraph,
The Times, Time Magazine, and worked at The European and BBC Radio
4 in various editorial roles.
He has reported from three Olympic Games, and has
been advising various institutions on sport, transport and allied
entertainment matters in the run-up to the 2012 Games in London.
He has co-written two books. In 1984, he wrote ‘The
Dictionary of the British Heritage’ for Cambridge University
Press, and in 2004, ‘Bootstrapping Your Business’,
with US entrepreneur Greg Gianforte. |
